Once I moved to Africa for love. That didn't last long, the love for Africa however remained. For almost 15 years I escaped every dreary dark Dutch winter and spend at least three months in sunny splendour in West Africa. I made some good friends, had great times and miserable ones -I often felt like I was in an emotional rollercoaster. Life was certainly interesting! And I always enjoyed hunting for treasures, working with local artisans and having time without distractions for my own shibori work.
